Infection simply means that a germ – virus, bacteria or a parasite that can cause disease or sickness is present inside a person’s body. Two sexually transmitted infections are
- Genital herpes
- Genital warts
Sexually transmitted infections are caused by bacteria and viruses. Two microorganism that cause sexually transmitted infection are – 1) Trichomonas vaginalis (cause Trichomoniasis) and 2) Herpes simplex virus (that cause genital herpes)
- Three symptoms of sexually transmitted infections are –
- 1)Unusual discharge from vagina, penis or anus.
- 2)Sore, blisters, warts, rashes, irritation or itching near genital or anus.
- 3)Infection in the rectum and throat.
